I guess some investors prefer to supplement their tenants rent rather than have to work to earn maximum return.I wake up every morning with the goal of making more money every day as opposed to being satisfied with diminished income due to erosion through the increased cost of living.

Seriously, though, I like to keep it simple (market is high, about right, or low), position myself accordingly and while still covering myself for all reasonable outcomes ... beyond that, I think we can quickly pass the point of diminishing marginal returns on our analysis and into the realm of false precision.When I wore a younger man's clothes I used to do something similar, except back then I was working at JPL and running monte carlo analysis and every possible worse case I could throw at the spacecraft simulator.

This trust tax paid by the IRA is meant to level the playing field so that tax-exempt entities do no drive taxpaying businesses out of business.The implications of UBIT will vary depending on the situation and may or may not spoil the benefits of equity crowdfunding.Generally speaking, if the operating income of the venture is the prize, then UBIT will diminish the returns to the point where making the investment with non-qualified funds will be the better option.If the gain in value of the venture is the prize, i.e. in venture capital plays, then UBIT may not be much of a barrier.
