This bear market in stocks and extremely aggressive action by the FED has sent bond yields to record lows.

The purpose of it is to weed out the crappy surveyors and the attorneys who want surveyors to certify everything under the sun without having all of the record information.

I like hard money loans that fund purchase and rehab (the percentage and rate depend on your track record). 

The mortgage or deed of trust is recorded.  

Recording fees and other costs are based on where the house is. 

@George ChungDepends on number of factors such as how good are your financial records (balance sheet, income statement), how many state returns there are, just to name a couple of the factors in play.

@Kyle Root you can check with the local county (Outagamie, Winnebago, Brown, etc) and see if they keep any kind of record for out of state owners.

When I tried to call them I got a recording saying that due to high call volume they are unable to take my call at this time, try again later.

Foreclosure case was filed in court (Ohio) 3 months ago, mortgagors (husband and wife) have transferred ownership to me (an individual) via a quitclaim deed earlier this week and it should be recorded with the county in a couple of days.
