The main purpose of this is to reduce property taxes...since you go from a commercial status to a residential status...usually saving around 40% to 50% in taxes.

To avoid the "cancel insurance after providing proof" fiasco we also request contact information for their insurer and a signed letter instructing the insurer to inform us if the status of coverage changes.
