True, if a hurricane blows off the roof and the interior is destroyed, we're not covered - but given the high deductibles and how little insurance companies ever pay out, we decided to just bank what would have been the premiums, and deal with something like that if it happened.We do require proof of renter's insurance from our tenants, and the lease states that our insurance does not cover the tenants' belongings.

This is a little older thread - but, seeing how it references the DFW REI CLUB I wanted to mention we are moving to the Hurst Conference Center as of our first MAY meeting on May 6, 2017.  

There are a lot of reasons why that money could rightfully belong to the developer and then there are reasons why it may not.
