A really smart guy named George Box said "All models are wrong, but some are useful" And to be honest, I'm not going to bother changing one of my full models to suit this unique situation; its more work and all I'd get out of it is fake internet points.

Issues with this:All the remotely controlled locks I have seen require wifi so I would either need to pay for internet connection OR require my tenants to let my door lock onto their networks.

The owner he bought the other two (same layout) was rented for $550 and told him there was no way to raise the rents - with some fresh paint and a few updates to the kitchens and baths, as the tenants moved out, the rents increased.

Questions 2:Suddenly I could not get in contact wither via emails, phones or facebook msg. to my tenants, so I leave a mail in their mailbox that rent is late, and to also please provide me with contact info.Next thing I get a notice from the renter that they do not have phone or internet, as they cannot afford it.

The creativity I think you could bring to this is simply avoiding expensive interior remodeling - just find a cheap space, fill it up with thrift-shop desks, get the very best internet (don't skimp on that :), and rent desks cheap!
