Its not a great area overall, but this is a nice little neighborhood, blocks from a grocery store, clean and safe.I've basically be listening to every podcast all week, and podcast 61 has me a little gun-shy all of the sudden.  

The powers that be there think that a new big box store is an economic boom, while a million square feet of commercial/industrial space goes unused.

You can get a decent laminate (there are sales all of the time at big box stores and smaller mom and pops) for $2/SF and sometimes even less. 

i found a great deal with cash flow but the neighborhood was rated high crime,,,it is close to the local college and 10 minutes from stores and the beach..is this a walk away????

A beautiful and booming city, a city being reborn and redefined with new development spurring in nearly every corner of the city and surrounding areas.

Being a short drive to decent Asian grocery stores and restaurants (the ones with secret menus all in Chinese) is also a nice amenity, but being within walking distance to them is not critical, unless one of the family members does not know how to drive, which is quite often the case, especially since Chinese families often take care of their elderly forebearers, and the driver's test is pretty challenging for some of them again because of the language barrier.

We buy scratch and dent from an appliance store.

My mentor told me the grocery store model is best:"You don't want to sell a seller in the grocery store and have to duck around a corner.

I'm very excited to what this site has in store for me.
