I am still very tied into the UCF area of East Orlando, and whether you are looking at something to pay you while you attend school, or something more long term, I will be happy to share from my first buying experience, to what I have learned in the 10+ years I have working real estate in Orlando.

Including my wife who list all of my properties  LOL..from my perspective I would not even give it a second thought go do your thing.I had a transaction last year with a very competent female agent in your market and she posts on BP.. she took a fairly goofed up transaction jumped into the middle of it and did a great job..

With no savings, plan, or viable product or service, they quit their jobs, thinking by doing that they would magically figure it all out and get out of the "rat race," only to find out that they had no idea what they were doing.I personally think the best route is a middle ground, which is what I am pursuing.

This link has good info. http://www.anthonyforest.com/assets/pdf/sfpa-heade... your link actually helped, thank u. i was not more detailed in my OP because i really do not know what information is needed to make that decision, sorry about that.its a 1 story brick home, the wall runs down the middle of the house. the wall is about 20' long and i assume the studs are 16" on center. i want an opening of around 8ft or so.based on what chad posted, i am going with the roof ridge beams as the closest match. i am a mechanical engineer, but have never done these calculations in school, so it's a little difficult to admit i need another engineer's help. :)

Below is Everett another city outside of Boston filled with multi family homes.Below is Chelsea a city next to East Boston which is seeing a huge boom in property families for the multi families.

They have built 2 new elementary and 1 new middle school in recent years, and renovated the high school as well. 

Pest / Rodent Ordinances: With the recent explosion of bed bugs in the east coast, this has been a big one.

There are always TOPS and Bottoms and Middles in the financial cycles.
