@Jerry PadillaI am looking to start in the Central Valley of California in the smaller cities like Madera, Huron, Coalinga etc. because the prices to purchase are cheaper, so in my mind that is a good place to start. 

That changes as you get closer to the main line and Garnet Valley areas (where I don't have as much knowledge), but be cautious in the southern part of the county.

I live just across the river in Cincinnati, and would definitely be interested as well!

I'm looking to flip or do the "Brrr" method on some properties here in LA and the valley. 

I'm looking forward to getting more involved with the forum and learning about the nuances of investing in Canada.In the meantime, having bought our home in Courtenay and another 1/2 duplex rental property, I can tell you that finding renters here in the Comox Valley is very easy. 

I am from Texas and have never been east of the Mississippi River and I know nothing about Naw York except for some city names that I have heard of.
