It’s definitely worth a trip you will find a lot of fellow New Yorkers in the area Carolinas and FL have become popular destinations..

Its been pretty good after you get it setup and makes things easier for managing many people in one unit and has push notifications to their phones if they install the app.

Other things to consider; tenant screening process (will you charge an app fee, how will you process apps, how will you handle showings, what qualifications/criteria does tenant have to meet, etc), how will you collect rent (in person, by check, electronically, etc), how much will you charge for rent, how will you process an eviction, how are you going to handle maintenance issues, and I'm pretty sure I'm missing something but experience is the best teacher!!

They carry most of the popular ones in topics from Roofing and Siding, to Masonry, to Trim, to Tile, etc.....Try each book out, when you find the one that speaks to YOU, then buy it used off Amazon to keep in your personal library.

What app or site or groups would be best to inform them of my inventory?

If the house has selling factors that would be more marketable as a rental (eg level entry, usable land, A frames or gambrels are fairly popular, etc), that falls within your price range that would likely be your best bet.
