The destination is only a few hours drive away, and we are not sick so we may still go even though the news media and public officials are saying that would be the irresponsible decision because even those of us not showing symptoms can still spread the virus.

I currently live in a very expensive market (Los Angeles, CA), and recently just paid off all my student loans, have a stable income, and excellent credit. 

At least the good news if you do that is that the extra money out of your pocket goes straight into your own equity, so it's not money lost.

Then when you move to your next house hack you are confident that this one with cashflow - awesome news!
