We're guessing they might have looked into what's available, and found nothing cheaper.In our increase letter, we always note that our costs are rising (usually property tax), and that like any other business, we must pass those costs on to the consumer.TL;DR: A $25 increase is more than fair. 

I advised him that per our agreement on the lease he now owed his security deposit since the initial term was over, and he found a one word loophole in the wording “next lease” and he delivered me a letter that his lawyer coworker friend wrote on legal letterhead, defending why he didn’t have to pay a deposit!

Along with that, there's a digital record of every payment and date.

I have used Open Letter Marketing quite a bit for my direct mail marketing.

I share you opinion that after 3+ years of double digit appreciation in many markets, we are in for a relatively flat appreciation figure for the next 3-5 years. 

Just send them a letter, text or what ever.

My fiancé and I sent the original owners a letter, offered 25k over asking price during a frenzy in the market.
