Feed back on my direct mailing post cards
Hello Bigger Pockets members,
Attached is a copy of my direct mailer that I have been sending out for the past three months. I'm looking for any advice on what I should/could change to improve my response rate. I have yet to get a call back.
I'm changing my list up and figured before I send out another round on the new list i should check to see what you all think could be a problem. I'm looking into finding a professional photographer for my photo. But I'm open to all and any suggestions.
Sincerely,
Sam

Hi @Sam Spoerl Great idea to ask for feedback! There's a wealth of knowledge here on BP. As a primarily direct mail marketer, I see a couple of things I really like about your postcard and a suggestion. The blue and light orange colors go well together and are appealing to the eye. I also like the personable picture of you and your dog (maybe a professional quality one of the two of you would be great).
One suggestion is that you have a couple of stock photos taking up a lot of real estate on your postcard which is forcing the other side of the card to look a little busy. I would suggest keeping a picture of you, your business logo and contact info, but then replace the rest of the card spaces with how your solutions help solve their problem. Right now you have all of their problems listed, but it would be more impactful to list your solutions (i.e. Cash offer means quick close, make no repairs, you pick the closing date, take what you want and leave what you don't, etc.) I have used Open Letter Marketing quite a bit for my direct mail marketing. They are great about formatting the postcards for maximum impact. Feel free to reach out to @Jake Soper over at OLM. He's super helpful.
Also, don't forget to follow up, follow up and follow up some more. A postcard is a great piece of marketing, but will do best when it is followed up with another touch point (letter, phone call, door knock, text, etc).
Good luck on your marketing and feel free to reach out if you have more questions. Happy to help!
