It will prevent damage from moving furniture in/out and your target market probably doesn't have any furniture to move, anyway.

STEPHEN , I was thinking of investing there also , my wife has family there , we go about 3 times a year , great city with a lot of tourist , Air Force Base / Army base , maybe a Toyota manufacturing plant , the city is tricky on areas , i would drive around the area and ask the locals on the area you are looking at , great locations and then some , not so great , but it is divided , i am sure it will pay off , Good Luck !

I put this in another post but will post it here as well - Please write your senator (and assembly person) letting them know the damage this will do to your real estate business.Below is a letter that I have emailed to my representatives as well as to all of the co-sponsors of the bill (note - I have deleted my numbers in the letter below) - I am a small-time landlord (total of ___ properties consisting of a total of ___ units) and the majority of the income that I live on comes from my rental properties.

She also pointed out the part in her lease that says the landlord is liable for damage caused by her own negligence, and leaving candles unattended and not keeping smoke alarms in operable condition would certainly cover that.

Like I said... most LL's WILL allow a Tenant to break lease if they can not afford rent... majority of Tenants will however not move out... living expenses come due one way or the other... again they don't just disappear into thin air.
