I would call several specialists in your area so you can get more than one opinion regarding a) the potential risks and b) the available remedies.My understanding from the specialist I talked to was that if it was in the walls (as it probably was also in that home) and wasn't disturbed it might be OK, however anyone who bought or lived in the house would need to know about it regardless and any potential disturbance could create a problem.
