I'm looking to buy a piece of land in Alaska to build a single family home. Who do I need to meet with to determine if the land it suitable for building? An engineer, architect, building department, etc.?

Local Civil Engineer here - I know dirt. Also recently acquired some sweet Alaskan raw land.
