i've paid a deposit for a rental and more towards half rent of this month, however my circumstances have changed and i dont want the rental. i was due to sign the lease tomoro. what are the legalities around me getting my deposit and rent for march back?

It can be very rewarding and enjoyable to build a project and create your own vision rather than having to work around somebody else's vision so definitely don't be afraid to move forward, just make sure you're properly mitigating risk based on your own circumstances.

You don't need to drill into the facts and circumstances of the minor, but you should have a legal name on the lease.

@Joshua Walther I don’t know all your circumstances, but it seems the potential for unexpected work is high and your interest/ability to handle these items is limited.
