All these investors that get burned in the midwest....they generally are not people from those markets.

And this mind-rot is blatantly evident in our society today, pick your metric, as the tail wag's the dog we descend into madness and the whole village burns.

With a bank sometimes you can negotiate partial recourse and have it burn off when the LTV drops to a certain point.

A good agent should be able to let you know if a specific property you are looking at might get hit with a major tax increase after closing so you don't get burned by it.
