Hi everyone,

I started reading The Book on Rental Property Investing which guided me to this site. I'm extremely excited about getting into real estate investing! I'm a long way away from investing in a property but loving the education process and looking forward to soak up so much more to make an informed decision.

I grew up helping my parents with their multi-family rentals so I feel like I a have a pretty strong, informal, understanding of how to manage properties which makes the learning a little easier. I'm definitely needing to better understand the financial side of the process, insurance, and tenant/landlord protocol, etc as I didn't really see that side of the experience with my parents.

Anyway, I look forward to posting, reading, and discussing all things real estate!

@Arturo Febry

welcome to BP! i have been on for about 2 weeks and it is very informative.

although i am in the learning process as well, i recommend the UBG ultimate beginners  guide to real estate investing by @Joshua Dorkin and @Brandon Turner

It gives you a broad overview of many types of real estate investing and may allow you to narrow down and focus on which niche you may think is good for you, for me its, buy and hold. I also recommend listening to the podcast. It is definitely a great tool to continue learning as you do things like, drive or walk around town. Hope this helps. see you around the site.
