Went again to try and call later that day and they have now blocked me so it goes right to voice mail (if i dial *67 it will ring like normal).

It seems like a lot of the recommendations for the wording to use on postcards and letters are strongly based around being able to offer cash and close fast.

Certainly you can make an offer, but the agent will likely require a large deposit and pre-approval letter for financing or POF in your name (your bank account).  

Most homes get bombarded with letters from agents and investors saying they want to buy there house.

When I work with Sheriff Sale clients, they sit at the auction and I sit at the computer and run the block values before they bid for new properties and for others we have already done our due diligence by driving by, checking for as many liens as we can find, and talking to neighbors.
