When you are getting started in real estate investing or even if you have already invested in a city, what are your methods, strategies and criteria you research and look for to branch out and find new cities across the US to invest in that fit your niche?

I have been researching for several months now and have established that our initial target will be single family homes, but we're also open to considering a duplex if the opportunity presents itself.

I have done extensive research regarding real estate and now finally ready to dive into the industry.

Research the max rates you can charge (usury), and laws about private lending in your State. 

As part of market research for long distance investing knowing where new stores are opening and new developments will be would seem to be a good strategy to know which areas are up and coming. 

I’ve been researching and looking for a while and was fully expecting to look at a bunch of properties and it being a while before I found one that was perfect and I think I might’ve with this one.

I will start researching some local agencies.

I researched all options and was about to lose my $2K deposit.

I am decent with tech - maybe create a website, make a research paper, newsletter, podcasts, etc. 

I am definitely interested in OOS investments, so my wife and I will be discussing and researching that over the next few weeks in detail.
