At the end of the day I suggest 3 things if truly interested in going forward: start prepping your home as a rental now (photos, advertising, lease terms, property management, etc), verify the requirements of current mortgage terms (i.e. anything thatvspeaks to residency/occupancy requirements), and start shopping lenders/talking to loan officers.
