Out of curiosity, I downloaded the Real Benefits software noted above and it’s consistent with others I’ve seen – the formulas are hidden and password protected.

Not bad for a free service.I think you need to do all of the above simultaneously and be sure to have a clear and consistent message.

I used to do some newspaper ads a few years back and never seemed to get very good results.... however I was not very consistent in running it.

The IRS doesn't require you to use any particular allocation method, but you do need to use whichever method you pick consistently. ie

On a personal note, what I find truly pathetic is the consistent misuse of "it's" and "its" coming from a former English major, I would expect that from someone whose native tongue isn't English.

The class consisted of 496 graduates, many who were children/grand children of servicemen in Middle East.
