Bandit Signs...for agents?

Is using a bandit sign as an agent a much bigger deal than just using one as an investor?

I'm looking to get buyer leads with bandit signs but don't want to do anything I'm not supposed to as an agent.

If you are an agent and you want to use bandit signs to represent yourself as an agent it is most likely illegal.  I want to say it is a nation wide law but not positive.  If agents could use bandit signs to represent themselves road sides would get ugly fast.
