IE Minneapolis v Milwaukee or are you talking about Minneapolis v St Paul v Woodbury? 

I went to Lowes to get a layout and they did a good Job, but I wonder if I would get more bang for my buck elsewhere.

Essentially you got a property for less than typical money down, and created a few bucks in equity.

Not leaving a review for that rare guest is like saying "go ahead, you win, you know how to buck the system". 

I'm looking at like $900 bucks to redeem my ground rent. also could make selling the property easier making the transaction fee simple in the future I think

Brought many minor things up after first month that could have been avoided by investing a few extra couple hundred bucks prior to showing.

For $750 bucks I would walk away and consider the $750 as the best bang for his buck due diligence training that he ever received.

If you are going to go through the process of building a new property with a VA loan you might as well get the most bang for your buck. 

I looked into development a few years ago and what I wanted to build was 1,500sf ranch homes on small lots with city water to retail at $350,000, because I knew I could sell those like hot cakes in Milwaukee.
