8 units venting into the attic seems like a lot of boiling spaghetti steam up there.If it were mine, I MIGHT get some quotes (and bring it up to current code, if code is different than attic venting).Bad point: I wonder if there are icicles inside the attic from this in the winter (???)

Not looking to argue with someone who can't see the forest for the trees. 

The property is in a ski town 12 miles from a medium-sized ski resort that saw significant expansion this summer, so winter is expected to be strong.

I don’t know anything about the market over there, but seeing the strength of the USD relative to the Euro and GBP (especially), I’m thinking there could be some great deals to be had over there this winter when their economy likely shutters from having no energy.

I'd recommend medium term furnished rental (furnished finder, etc.) in the winter and short term renting from April to Oct-Nov.

I know we are going into winter so maybe not worry too much about it either. 

We are interested in flip opportunities in both Eustis and down in Winter Garden. 

But The fall and winter are the best months to invest because your not competing against owner occupants for a property.

Personally I’d wait out a softening in this market over winter as these elevated rates suck the wind out of buyer’s sails.

Unless the fed reverses course quickly, this data is just the beginning, wait until we see the numbers in the winter.
