If he gives you any lip, tell him you will report him to the state and you will follow through and see to it that he is punished to the full extent of the law.Then go out and do what you should have done in the first place - cough up the cash for a reputable company to do the work you need done.

To Aaron's point above, yes it requires some work, but a website along with a well thought out web marketing plan will open up doors that would be very difficult to open in the absence of a website.
