It is has cause me much anguish because of unforeseen capital improvements to be made and loss income because one of my 5 properties in Houston was ruled uninhabitable.

@Maxwell LeeIf this is not about investment, then buy wherever you want, but if this is about investment I would look in areas with the most opportunity.Dallas and Houston are already larger in population than DC, Philadelphia and Boston.
