I wouldn't say it's so much clinging to the once lucrative as simple resistance to change.

but other than that simply does not get better weather wise and people come from the mid west and they think Oregon is great but then go to Northern CA and they are in Weather heaven.

I was wondering if organic meant grass fed since most of the corn used is the pest resistant gene altered type that is not organic.

If the weather is decent, they'll sleep in a vehicle in the driveway and use the house for the bathroom and kitchen. 

I won’t bring weather into the equation or the diversity or the various outdoor attractions.

With the short term rentals, while lucrative, poor weather, competition from other short term rental owners, and global pandemics can derail any plans you may have based on speculative income. 

Just make sure you have $$ set aside and can weather storms. 

The REIA here is full of good people, too.I think there is a lot to do around Rochester during good and bad weather.
