Basically, there is a) homeowner's policy (where you live in it) with substantial coverage for you belongings ~40% of the house value; b) stripped down version of the same without GRC; c) Same as (b) but you don't live there and less coverage on your belongings; d) then there is a dwelling policy, aka fire policy, where perils insured against are very limited.Whoever insures your primary dwelling should be willing to insure your former house.
