So I'm in the process of purchasing a single family in Massachusetts and would love to get any input on the topic of converting a single family into a 2 family.

I think any "institutional" investor would say to create the liability shield but if its your first deal likely your not protecting billions of assets the choice is yours what you think is appropriate.

In MA you cannot rent to a family with a child under 6 unless you have a Lead Certification on file with the state.
