A quick update -- I found reputable GC's that build for $200-$250/sqft for the exact same spec home the others were quoting $450/sqft for.

Yardi is my main software, but if you're tech-savvy and a real quick learner, you can make almost any software/system to work with what you need.

They will guide you to vendors you will use and also buy and sell with you.
