Hello Everyone, 

My name is James and am active duty military for the past 7 years here at Ft. Bragg. I've lived everywhere around this post. Fayetteville ( Reilly Rd), then over towards the Cape Fear River, Cameron ( before the road construction) and Southern Pines since 2014. 

MY WHY: My big jump into REI are my kids, Bear (4) and Lola (2). I'm done and frankly somewhat tired of having to ask permission to be as present in their lives as possible. That being said I'm extremely grateful for my time in the Army and experiences. I earned my degree in kinesiology and linguistics. I speak both Russian and Spanish.

General Interests: I think I love the idea of Fitness more than I do actually being Fit. Id much rather be mixing it up in a BJJ or Muay Thai class then logging miles running. Big into Podcasts not only Bigger Pockets but Ben Shapiro, Sword and Scale( true crime), and the Occasional Joe Rogan Experience. (Any recommendations welcome!!)

REI Interests: I HAVE YET TO DO MY FIRST DEAL...I know, the biggest jump for any of us to take. I feel like Neo in "The Matrix" when he is about to attempt that first jump and other people thinking, " you think he'll make it?". Ideally I'd like my first deal to be a WHOLESALING and grow more comfortable with that process before I attempt a FLIP.

STEPS I'VE TAKEN: Aside from writing this exhaustive intro about myself I've attended my local REI group in Sept 2018. I've been to the courthouse and learned to read the foreclosure board ( SP and M are different I understand) and talked with the super nice people in the clerks office. I've checked websites of foreclosures coming up and have posted one AD on craigslist. All in all, I feel like I'm spinning my wheels and have the initial doubts that I'm sure most have had.

WHAT DO I WANT FROM YOU GUYS: Knowledge and Accountability, plain and simple. Yes, I have skill sets that I could use and have a nice 9-5, but then I'd still be asking someone to be with my kids.  In closing, Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate, already, all the knowledge on the site.
