They types of scenarios where a seller may be more willing to do repairs really depends on a host of factors.

You listen to the host ramble on, generically answering questions, continue to tell everyone it is a numbers hame and to keep pounding the pavement OR they'll start talking about their successes.

Here is a question, would the radio show hosts bet their reputation on someone that was completely out to lunch?

I host (2) RV sites for an owners property (he also has a cabin he rents out as an STR part time as well).
