@Jeff Brown guided me in the Texas purchases, to include retirement planning, property acquisition and management, a lender to use, plus he had negotiated a reduced property management fee.In Florida, I started with an experienced title agent acquaintance and got her recommendation for banker, local Realtor, insurance and I winged it on the property management.To explain my personal situation: we are an enlisted military family stationed overseas.

If you have the experience in construction to understand all of the details that go into planning, estimating, and construction phases of building a new home then you should do just fine.You don't need to be able to perform the work, thats why you hire subcontractors.
