Forget web-based sellers of lender lists, most/all of which are scams, and multi-state far away lenders, who likely have no understanding of you or your area and might not be sympathetic to any problems you might have after you’ve borrowed the money.Do prepare a list of questions for your prospective lender.

Just because it's on a crowdfunding web site doesn't mean it is a good deal.

It comes down to a time vs. money volume kind of thing.Regarding owner addresses from county web sites, it is hit and miss.

However, based on my reading on the web It appears like the interest on Home Equity loans is still tax deductible if it is used for home or home acquisition related expense.
