Problem is we took a big hit when the market tanked and so did our credit and savings.

And I guess this guy never heard of structural inspections--which is what my inspector does for REOs w/ no utilities--just to make sure there's no structural stuff I was unaware of (including buried oil tanks, etc.

Unfortunately my vision of the "Man Cave" has fizzled into nothing more that a cluttered storage room.  

If I could buy it at 99 cents a foot I'd buy a few pallets and put them in my storage. 

Recently acquired a small self storage building, your basic run of the mill self storage.

We use the garage for storage, and it adds probably 5k in value to the deed. 

Add $50 for the tank of gas I'll burn driving back and forth and another $50 for the trip to Home Depot I'll take when I'm done writing this post.

You generate leads, you talk to sellers, you negotiate deals, you get contracts signed, and whatever you do after that, you MAKE MONEY.I suppose in my OLD AGE I'm becoming like Kevin O'Leary on Shark Tank... it's about the MONEY.  

I don't suspect they won't pay their bill but they will still have hot water due to an electric hot water tank.
