If the association is responsible for the sheet rocking in the unit your policy will not want to pay their claim. 

But, it sounds like you are ready to rock!!

I may also being taking this too literally and to the extreme, but as a Landlord in CT I don't recommend rocking the boat or getting on the "bad side" of any housing regulations.However, if you own the property and live there yourself, then no.

@Stephen Lofthus  I have one their names are Mark and Jeff.... they are very good at what they do.. they did bank OREO work for years along with FHA and FAnnie.. so they are well versed and know how to find the deals and know how to size up the properties. helps to have RE brokers that are already in the distressed asset game and then want to start taking these down as principals.. they are rock star's

And the end RESULT is what, a 95% "attrition rate," due to all of us trying to "sling rocks" at: the NAR, MLS, banksters, DC, the Crown, Temple BAR, etc.

Prudential for example, in my opinion is solid as a rock, but in todays environment, that rock can crack, poor investments and any large loss of insured lives in a short period will effect reserves.

I started buying modestly in 07, but picked up my pace from 2008 to 2012 once the recession hit and property prices were at rock bottom.
