I had no actual experience in anything real estate related but had owned a couple companies and had a track record in business and leading large teams.If you have any leadership background that would not hurt.Also, don't be high maintenance if you do get the deal as it will hurt your reputation in the relatively small industry.

There is nothing they can teach you that you can't learn on your own or working for someone else.I'd highly suggest going to work for someone in industry; that would be a much better use of your time and you'll be getting paid.Best of luck!  

If it is a restaurant, seek a higher security deposit too since the industry can be so volatile. 

There are solutions in the industry now with integrated marketing and technology that allow the sponsor to use the issuer's exemption.  

Just enjoy it and having multiple streams of income will help you even if they are in the same industry, like rental units in different parts of the country.

study and get your real estate license. this will give you a foundation.if you can sell cars you can kill it in the RE sales industry..

Thank you sir, ive considered trying to get hvac certified this summer too so i can do that aswell, i have no desire to learn electrical however as ive been shocked one too many times and dont care to get shocked again, but i agree its a shrinking industry which is good for us younger guys , my only concern is rising interest rates ruining my plans before they even get started
