These home grow rooms also over tax the electrical system of many homes and will cause problems.

Best reception might be on the roof but they can cause leaks and also can have an electrical fire during a storm causing a fire and damage to your building.So I see on buildings where they might allow one installed on the ground but not the building and they have to get management approval.

Not sure what Bloomberg would say in your area, but the people upstairs are going to be calling your friend pretty soon about bed bugs they didn't bring in.

Texas has electric deregulation.

I'm fairly certain the gas company will require a pressure test and the electric company will require an inspection before turning he power back on after being off so long.

Both would bug me.If you are going to install one, do it now.

Make sure heat and electric are in place first too. 

Purchasing that house gave me the bug to begin looking into other investment properties so as I learn my way around I'm sure I will have questions.Thankfully I'm in a good solid financial situation now as I have a roommate that covers half of my mortgage + bills as well as a good paying job in the BioTech industry.
