Getting started with a house hack is a great first acquisition and introduction to investing.

In defense of BP, the diversity of topics covered by them already on their podcast is vast and already offered a comprehensive understanding of the real estate investing industry.

This just happened to me today in Houston and I’m at a loss for comprehension… I wanted to buy two duplexes and occupy two of the units with my family, and got told they would only sell us one duplex because they don’t sell to investors.

Here's other things that might work for you to get a clearer estimate on costs: - attend a local real estate event and ask people for introductions to builders/contractors.
