At this stage in my life I am entering reeducation and unlearning everything the school systems have taught me about being a Cog in the machine (employee) and learning how to build a machine (buisiness).

A co-worker of mine is in the beginning stages of buying/building a new house in a new development that is just now under construction and will be selling the house she lives in now. 

I think I'd work with the current occupants (squatters) make out some type of occupancy arrangements and explain that the rent payments going forward would be sent to you. 

I've never heard of that.Also, I noticed today that there's a sign in the window that says the house is under the management of a certain company, and when it comes for sale, arrangements to see it can be made through any real estate agent.

(i am joking) I have not decided what marketing material i'll use (yellow letter, postcard) but from what it looks like it more important to make any move rather than stress over these details (at this stage in the game)Can anyone offer any other perks that I may have missed? 

Ideally I would like the properties to be in driving distance at least in the beginning stages.

Accountants like lawyers typically value their time on an hourly basis, some simply charge by the hour and some charge based on an estimated block of hours you will require and they will need to service your account.So what is your arrangement with your accountant, are you monopolizing his time without him being compensated?
