I'll give my $0.02.In a lenders policy (which is I believe what we are discussing here), unpaid real estate taxes would be covered.However, this claim would probably be excluded under the exception for losses created, assumed or agreed to by the insured claimant -- because OP is refusing to pay a bill he is responsible for.

@Eric Gardiner, Thanks I'll have to look at some of the ways I could get "Bit" if I go down this route. 

If I save $1,500/month starting at 25 and get a 6% return with 2.9% inflation I'll have $1m by the time I'm 50.
