If it's a 1 trick-pony, well odd's are that 1-trick will wear out and than it's a nothing-pony. 

The seller/buyer can always claim you tricked them and had superior experience and knowledge. 

Another trick I have to verify employment is calling the main phone number and asking for HR, instead of using the direct line or cell phone they provide.
