@Enrique Curiel, if you choose to invest in Arizona as a resident of California, don't forget that the California Other State Tax Credit works differently for taxes paid to Arizona (along with Guam, Indiana, Oregon, and Virginia) than it does for most other states!

Hey guys I have a quick question.I had all the attentions of buying my first rental property at the end of this year (I live in NY and planned on buying my first property in the NJ region) I just got offered a job in LA where I'll be relocating in September.My question is should I still buy the property in NJ and have a property management company deal with it or drop the idea completely and start looking in the California region?

Selma, Schertz, SM, Kyle, Buda, Round Rock, Pflugerville, New Braunfels, and Canyon Lake are just a few of the areas that I think will be hot for some time (shameless keyword plug).I grew up in California and I see some very telling similarities between Los Angeles suburbs and the suburbs around Austin and San Antonio.
