What kind of down payment or skin in the game would you put in?

I am new to the BP community, and have spent the last few weeks diving into this site & BP podcasts learning about real estate investing, and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface on investing.

With $100K, you could raise up to about $900,000 from outside investors (family, friends, associates, etc.) and your 10% stake in the deal would likely be enough "skin in the deal" to make the investors comfortable.Good luck!

A lot of lender don't wan't anything to do with this since you don't technically have any skin in the game but there are a lot out there that will accept it as long as it's from a trusted and vetted source.

That would help me in my business more than you helping clean up the jobsite or cut the grass.Last thing, thicken up your skin.

We definitely want to have our own skin in the game as well, but would like to be able to jump on a deal if we find it. thank you for your reply btw.

Too many people only know one way to skin a cat.

You just have to be brutally honest and have thick skin.  

Also, lenders want you to "have skin in the game" so downpayment, renovation money is very important.
