Now there are major players who are trying to turn sfr portfolios into an institutional investment class but I think it's too early to tell what the minimum size a portfolio would have to be to qualify.

I work in DSTs, TICs, funds, etc, all structured as private placements for accredited investors.There is an entire industry in this space, and the players care very much whether their investors get good returns.

Yes, when they are speaking of private investors, they aren't talking about me or Dion or Bob or John, they are talking about the mega boys that slice and dice the pools off to brokerages where ultimately small note players may buy.

Just make sure your actions are in line with your true goals.If you really want to create wealth and attain financial freedom in a relatively short amount of time with real estate (5-15 years) then spend the time and energy it takes to become a real estate investor that learns the market you are in, master it, and dominate it.Those are choice words... what do others think?
