We've since pulled out of the deal, but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice (other than run the other direction) and/or experience with this type of reno.Basically this side by side duplex is splitting down the middle.

Mindi Rosser In my market, most direct lenders know of someone who does private money lending so I’ll do a general search for “lender” in Miami and skim each of their profiles to see if it says anywhere that they also do private lending.

A truly self-directed Solo 401k plan would be more advantageous compared to self-directed IRA (one of the benefits is the ability to contribute 10 time more than into an IRA up to $55,000/yr, again from earned self-employment income only), however it is not for everyone.
