Step 1 for me was to gain specialized knowledge, so I joined a coaching program, participated in master mind and bootcamp type events and started to interact with people that were operating at a higher level than myself.Step 2- I asked others that I wanted to be like (people that owned portfolios, accredited investors, etc.) how I could bring them value.

It was getting to the point where I dreaded going anywhere near those houses because I knew I'd have to interact with their craziness (Let alone my poor tenants who shared the buildings with them).

So I've gotten to know a lot of them and interact with them regularly, both in prison and once they get out of prison.I think ruling anyone out just because they have a felony is crazy.
