.$1 per $1000 of value or 1/10 of 1%.  50 mills would be 50/1000ths,  or $50 per $1000 of value or 5%.Your value of $100k, assuming that is the assessed value, doesn’t match with a $2000 tax bill, at a 50 mill rate.
