But, none of them provide broad/market wide exposure like buying an S&P 500 index fund.

the incredible thing i found is that in an area called sugarland... you can buy a house zoned to nationally ranked schools for say 200k-300k and basically be paying 1400 a month mort/propertytax/etc and live in a HOUSE in a great place.
